a tight timeline and a tighter budget
Our first kitchen renovation went smoothly, but the job was not without its challenges. An ugly, old hot water tank was removed and a new tank was placed in the attic. The old sink unit was removed; a new drain was plumbed and new hot and cold lines were run. We pulled up layers of linoleum, refinished the original pine flooring, and skim coated the plaster walls. Our goal was to choose a design with the landlord that would not immediately look dated and remain within his budget. Our timeline for the work was short, and the new tenant moved in on schedule.
